Anara Publishing’s 2018 Round Up

2018 Round Up
2018 Round Up

2018 has been an exciting year for us at Anara Publishing. As the year draws to an end, we’ve taken a little time to reflect on our highlights from the past year.

We have seen our roster grow with some amazing additions stretching from the USA to the Middle East and Asia. In 2018 we welcomed eight new artists to the Anara Publishing family. This included Aunt Cynthia’s Cabin, Tejas, FABRIK, Blushing Satellite, Siddharth Basrur, Issa Murad, Eljuri and Los Importantes de la Noche. This has further emphasised our love of eclectic music from different areas of the world. We’re delighted to be able to work with such diverse and talented musicians and are looking forward to seeing what the years ahead will bring.

Take a listen to the fresh sounds added to our roster this year:

Anara Publishing on the Road

We always love travelling to new places and making new connections in the music industry. This year was a busy year for us which saw us attending many different events in the UK as well as overseas. We’ve hosted panels at Brighton Music Conference and Off the Record, taken our maiden trip to The Great Escape, returned to the French Rivera for MIDEM and caught up with music supervisors in LA. We also visited our neighbours at PPL PRS to speak at their “How To Make Your Music Pay” event. Towards the end of the year, we also embarked on DIY Magazine’s Neu Tour to speak with up and coming musicians across the UK.

We, of course, also love seeing live music at Anara Publishing. So, it was a real pleasure to see Eljuri perform at her European debut performance in London back in June. Taking place in the legendary Gibson Guitar Studios in the heart of Central London, Eljuri brought her iconic guitar riffs and diverse sound to the UK. We hope to be able to catch more of our artists perform in 2019.

Sync Success for FABRIK

As the Autumn rolled in, we saw FABRIK’s track ‘Black Lake’ feature in Hulu’s TV series Light As A Feather. This was a result of our most recent visit to LA as part of the UK Sync Mission which was a productive and rewarding trip. Have a look at the video for Black Lake below:

Extending our Network

We are also thrilled to announce our partnership with Fermata Do Brasil who will be subpublishing our catalogue across Brazil. As the largest independent publisher in the territory, they will be representing our catalogue for sync opportunities though their excellent network of local music supervisors. This is an exciting step as we extend the reach of our unique and diverse roster.

It has been a great year for us at Anara Publishing. We have even more exciting developments in the works for the 2019 which we cannot wait to share with the world.

Happy Holidays from the Anara Publishing team!
