The latest signing from India to join the Anara Publishing roster is alt-pop songstress Saachi Rajadhyaksha, who goes by the stage name ‘Saachi’.

Based in Mumbai, Saachi’s brand of English alt-pop consists of songs with bold, dark and often existential lyrics. She burst onto the indie scene in India with debut single “Touch and Go” featuring Ankit Dayal which was shortly followed by her first EP ‘Clarity’ featuring tracks such as Breaking Out. Since then, she’s released the tracks “Better (24h)” which was written in a day and the R&B fuelled “DO/DON’T” along with performing as a playback singer for Amazon original series “Four More Shots Please”. Saachi is now working on new music to release in the next 12 months.

Saachi has also hit the ground running upon signing to Anara, taking part in our most recent online songwriting camp in which we collaborated with a well-known Indian recording artist and playback singer. As an outcome of the camp, Saachi’s track which he worked on with fellow new signing Piyush Bhisekar, has been selected by the artist so watch this space for its release!

On signing to the Anara roster, “I’m super excited to be working with Anara because I think every independent artist needs help with royalty collection and understanding the different types of royalties that we’re owed. In between making and marketing my music, having someone to handle this is a big weight off of my shoulders. Of course, I can’t wait to see how different opportunities in sync can help me get my music out there too. Happy to be here and can’t wait to see what we do together!”

Deepa Seshadri, head of Business Development, India for Anara Publishing added “I came across Saachi on Instagram and fell in love with her song Do/Don’t. The simplicity of the track and its catchy melody impressed me and made me want to dig deeper into her music. It wasn’t long before she was signing our contract and joined our roster. I’m excited to work with her and for Anara Publishing to be part of her growth journey as a talented Hindi/English songwriter.”
