Josh Colyer is a songwriter, music producer, and multi-instrumentalist hailing from Detroit, MI. Raised in a musical family, Josh discovered his passion for songwriting and recording early on—writing and producing his own music by the age of 13.
Driven by a deep love for music creation, Josh pursued his formal education at Belmont University in Nashville, TN, where he studied music business and production.
It was there that his focus evolved from creating just his own work, to including helping others shape theirs as well.
As a producer and mixing engineer, Josh has since dedicated himself to bringing out the best in every artist he works with—translating raw ideas into fully realized records with clarity, emotion, and polish. As a songwriter, he strives to create songs from stories that can reach the masses, and that all people can relate to.
Drawing inspiration from artists like OneRepublic, Jon Bellion, Patrick Droney, and Ed Sheeran, Josh’s production style blends atmospheric textures with pop sensibility, cinematic depth, and heartfelt songwriting.
