DVMA is an artist, DJ, and producer whose music hits just as hard as her story. Raised in the chaos of pre-gentrified Brooklyn, (specifically Brighton Beach, where the city meets the waves), dealing with the death of family and friends, group homes, jail, and hustling to survive was the norm.
Over the past 17 years, she’s channeled her experiences into music; producing her own records, DJing, touring across the U.S. and Europe, and delivering sharp, emotionally layered bars and melodies over heavy drums and smooth basslines.
Her voice is distinct — strong, a little gravelly, and sometimes sweet — creating songs about summer love, betrayal, womanhood, and vulnerability that feel as insightful as they are infectious.
Some to dance to, cry to, or both. DVMA’s career includes features in HipHopDX, Vibe Magazine, and Viceland, opening for icons like Wu-Tang Clan, The Lox, and Boot Camp Clik, and performing at major festivals like SXSW, Vans Warped Tour, and Times Square for Hip Hop’s 50th anniversary. She’s a “Rap for a Stack” winner, multiple-time EOW MC champ, and a veteran of the underground and global stages. All the collaborative projects she has put out have been with fellow female artists. Now a new mother, DVMA is touring as a DJ with 80s Legend Lisa Lisa and building her catalog in her home studio.
