US based duo Haver initially started their career in a half baked strategy meeting, then they planned to open a beach inspired nick nack shop. After an hour of pontificating on dad hats and neon signs they quickly changed to something they both had experience in doing – Making music.
While meeting years prior at the local watering hole, their friendship clicked while they were unexpectedly sharing time together travelling the US in support of a touring project. The miles shared on planes, trains and automobiles cemented their friendship while fostering a shared love and longing for an aesthetic that so many of us love – a future focused nostalgia.
Haver has taken pride in making sounds that are much larger than its size, formed tape ages pianos, forgotten synthesisers and parlor guitars. The relationships they made on the road will occasionally present themselves in cameos on some pieces, adding to the warmth and glow of Haver’s longing yet optimistic sonicscape.
