Anara Publishing is pleased to announce Simön as their latest signing. Simön’s music encapsulates emotive and reflective moods, whilst staying based around the genres of latin, rock, indie and world music.
As a composer and musician, Herrera was part of Mushi Mushi Orquestra, Orquestra Jovem do Estado and Orquestra Jovem Nacional do SODRE. He has also performed on tours around the USA, Panama and Uruguay; as well as performing on celebrated stages in Brazil, such as Festival de Inverno de Campos do Jordão and Sala São Paulo. With masses of experience behind him, Herrera created his alter-ego “Simön” which expresses his own voice and Uruguayan/Brazillian heritage. “His debut album, “En Un Punto,” presents the chords and poetry of Latin America and according to Simon, his music started as a way of manifesting his creative transformation into the artist he is today. When listening to the tracks you can hear his carefully thought-out use of acoustic guitar, harmony, and expressive vocals, to name a few elements. Each track tells its own story and takes you on a journey, with each track differing in terms of mood and sentiment.
Of the new signing, Simön says: “I see this as the beginning of a great partnership. Hope to meet the fellow musicians and friends of Anara Publishing soon. Lots of good stuff ought to happen, great songs and music ready to be golden treasures for our culture.”
